SWARM RESEARCH GRANTS
SWARM awards small research grants (£300-£500) to support relevant projects in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be a current South West (Peninsula) Anaesthetic Trainee
Conduct research/audit/quality improvement relevant to anaesthesia, intensive care or perioperative medicine that align with SWARM research priorities
Demonstrate how the funds will be used to make a meaningful impact to the research they are conducting
Funding may cover:
Room bookings to facilitate meetings
Essential consumables or research materials including printing costs
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:
Alignment with SWARM research priorities
Feasibility: clear goals and a realistic timeline
Value for money
Award Conditions
Funds must be used as approved
Recipients agree to present their work at the SWARM Research Training Symposium (if applicable)
Publications or presentations must acknowledge SWARM’s support
SWARM must be informed how the funds were spent
